We understand that referring a patient is an act of trust. Our role is to handle the vascular component of your patient's care and send them back to you — not to absorb their broader care. You remain your patient's physician; we provide the specialized vascular expertise and keep you informed at every step.

Dr. Cardentey is a double board-certified vascular surgeon trained in both open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular techniques, providing comprehensive care across the full range of vascular disease:

Peripheral artery disease and limb salvage — including evaluation of any patient facing possible amputation

Working alongside podiatry and wound care

For colleagues in podiatry and wound care: we see ourselves as your partner in saving limbs, not a competitor for your patients. When a wound won't heal, the cause is frequently inadequate blood flow — the vascular piece. We provide the assessment and revascularization that restore circulation so your wound care can succeed, and we return the patient to you to continue the wound management you're already providing. We're glad to coordinate directly with your team, and we maintain a referral relationship that runs both ways.

A reliable dialysis access partner

For nephrology and dialysis colleagues: reliable vascular access is essential to your patients' care, and access problems are disruptive when they arise. We provide both access creation and ongoing maintenance — promptly addressing stenosis and clotting to keep access functioning — so your patients' dialysis stays on schedule. We coordinate closely with your team throughout.

Don't accept amputation — send them to us first

If you have a patient who has been told they may need an amputation, we welcome the opportunity to evaluate whether the limb can be saved. A majority of major amputations are performed without a prior attempt to restore blood flow, and a timely vascular evaluation can change the outcome. When a limb is threatened, time matters — please reach out promptly.
